Aircraft mechanic apprentices shoot to the skies

Every year in summer the aircraft mechanics start out on their traditional aeronautical basic training in gliding. This has been a fixed part of the apprenticeship for sixty years.

Many former apprentices have discovered their passion for air sports after this experience. This is what training instructor Bernd Dreyer has to say: ‘There’s no better way of putting the theoretical content of the course into practice’. It also builds team spirit. For every PFW apprentice, this experience is an unforgettable highlight of their training.
